Review Drama Korea - Its Okay To Not Be Okay (Indonesia)

Kim Soo Hyun is making a comeback this year after a long break by starring in Korean Drama called Its Okay To Not be Okay written by Jo Yong. The drama was firstly aired on June 20 this year under original network TVN partnered with Netflix as distributor. Its been awhile since Kim Soo Hyun's last movie with the late Sulli. Netz also witnessed his funny roles as a Cameo on Crash Landing On You which starred Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin as the main characters. Can we expect something from his new Drama? 

I previously red many articles regarding of this drama even before its released, Sepertinya Netizen sangat berharap drama terbaru Kim Soo Hyun sebagus drama-drama yang ia bintangin sebelumnya, besides Kim Soo Hyun was known as the most paid Korean Actor leaving Hyun Bin and Lee Minho Behind. Of course, everyone will be excited for his upcoming project in present and future. 

Firstly, I hold up not to watch it, hahaha. Karena agak takut kalau ternyata dramanya tidak seseru apa yang dibayangkan, since I am quite expectant.  Jadi, when everyone talking excitingly about this, I am busy seeking and make a list of Korean Reality Show to watch.

In here, Kim Soo Hyun was featured with other main character- Seo Ye Ji who previously played on drama, Diary of Night Watchman, Moorim School, Lawless Lawyer and of course plenty of title she had, but I saw her appearance for the first time in Bigbang Music Video - Lets not fall in love, whom she partnered with My man GDragon. She also appeared as one of guest on Running Man long time ago partnered with Gary who totally mental lost and ended up adored Ye Ji throughout the episode.

"A little bit intermezzo by GD and Ye Ji appearance on Bigbang MV- Lets not falling in love. I am crying because of this overwhelmed jealousy within me. Someone stole my dear :( "

I personally thing Its Okay To Not Be Okay ini adalah drama fantasy bergenre romantis sedikit horror karena ada adegan creepy-gosh but funny at the same time which is rarely in Korea. Dari episode awal dikisahkan ada seorang anak perempuan yang sedari kecil kesepian, mungkin karena dia dan keluarganya tinggal di kastil di dalam hutan yang jauh dari penduduk lain. She wanted to play along with the other children but they were all stayed away from her, karena karakternya YeJi kecil yang bisa di katakan "weird" and looks Psycho. 

One of the scene showed that in order to be able to played with children who has the same age as her, she gave them couple of dead birds as gift. -_- gua aja yang segede ini creepy ya kalo di kasih begituan. Ngajak main tapi ngasihnya burung mati, ampunan deh. 

Tapi weirdly, ada seorang anak laki-laki yang always follow her wherever she goes. Dia bahkan gobek alias menyatakan ketertarikan dia dengan memberikan sebuah bunga dan berakhir ketakutan karena melihat hobby Ye Ji yang suka ngerobek kupu-kupu. Bukan gambar ya guys, yang dirobek tapi kupu-kupu hidup di robek jadi dua sama dia. -_-. Thing that make it more creepy is to know that she is beautiful enough for doing such thing with a thousand-yard stare. *goosebumps*

Karena unusual dari drama-drama Korea pada umumnya, apalagi akhir-akhir ini lagi banyak banget drama Korea bertema kedokteran atau Kerajaan, itu membuat drama ini jadi booming di awal perilisannya. In the first episodes this drama successfully gained 6,093% nationwide and 7,036 in Seoul bahkan ini sangat luarbiasa untuk siaran tv kabel. Di awal episode, aku masih mencerna ini cerita akan seperti apa ya. Surprisingly I keep watching it until episode 4. 

Ada moment-moment yang sepertinya keliatan biasa aja "sepertinya", tapi sukses making me tearing up. Agak aneh ya ini. Beneran guys cerita ini tidak biasa, lebih tepatnya karakternya Ye Ji yang tidak biasa. She is looks over something in very unique perspective. Disini Ye Ji berperan sebagai seorang penulis cerita anak-anak terkenal yang ditakuti bahkan oleh staf-stafnya sendiri karena aura darkness yang dia miliki.

She loves an object that have a sharp point, like a knife, fork, or edge of pen. Bayangin ya, dia penulisan cerita anak-anak tapi gambar yang di display di bukunya, itu tidak mencerminkan anak-anak. I mean as far as I know, children usually loves princess/prince, the pict also represent brightness and colorful, tapi ini 180 derajat keterbalikan dari itu. 

Due to the powerful of destiny akhirnya si Ye Ji yang disini berperan sebagai Koo Moon Young bertemu kembali dengan teman kecilnya yang selalu mengikuti Moon Young kemanapun dia pergi saat itu, none other than, Moon Kang Tae (Kim Soo Hyun) who played as therapist. Tapi sepertinya hingga episode 4 si Kang Tae ini tidak menyadari kalau si Moon Young itu anak perempuan yang dia suka dulu sewaktu kecil. 

I don't mean to spoil you guys haha tapi, menurut aku cerita dalam drama ini memiliki makna/pesan moral yang dalam tetapi dengan pembawaan yang ringan. Aku paling sebel kalau nonton drama yang berat, yang bikin kepala pusing karena mencerna isi cerita dari percakapan pemainnya. Tapi disini, aku merasa so fine

Tbh, aku selalu sedih kalo bayangin si Kang Tae, dia sudah dipaksa oleh takdir untuk dapat hidup mandiri sejak kecil, ditinggal kedua orang tua dengan hanya satu kakak laki-laki yang memiliki gangguan mental. Throughout this drama, I can see that what looks good and happy outside, could be feeling miserable inside. He is being fake with his true feeling due to the condition he has. In loneliness, he miss it being loved. 

Sementara, banyak orang yang membenci Moon Young karena gayanya yang eksentrik, berani untuk memiliki cara pandang yang berbeda dengan masyarakat pada umumnya, meskipun dia terlihat angkuh, strong character, kejam, but she is soft inside. She is truly wanna have a friend she can mingle with, she wanna be loved by people around her but dont know how to express it. Since, her mom and dad always told her that she is different, she is mysterious, and possessed by dark cursed ever since she is little. 

I believe Kang Tae and Moon Young will finally healing each other. Moon Young treated Kang Tae with love, like a mother love, you can see by how melted he was when Moon Young touching his bangs and said he is like a boy who's craving for love. She knows deep down inside, just for a moment, he wants to be understood, he wants to rely on somebody. Meanwhile, Moon Young who looks cruel with her strong character, is actually very lonely inside and would like to be protected by somebody. 

I am pretty sure ceritanya akan lebih menarik lagi pada episode-episode selanjutnya, karena menurut aku masih ada banyak yang belum terjawab, seperti teka-teki kematian ibunya Kang Tae, hal yang membuat kakak laki-lakinya Kang Tae trauma berat dengan kupu-kupu, hubungan Ye Ji dengan suster di rumah sakit jiwa, many mores. This drama will airing every Saturday-Sunday and we could expect to watch it with the subs on Monday-Sunday.
